Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a broken foot.
The Armenian playmaker was substituted at half-time during Arsenal’s Carabao Cup quarter-final loss to Tottenham.
A statement on the club website said the 29-year-old has a “fractured metatarsal” in his right foot.
Mkhitaryan has scored four Premier League goals and assisted another so far this season.
The injury is the latest in a long list for Arsenal who have recently lost forward Danny Welbeck and defender Rob Holding for the season.
