Women’s Super League: Reading boss Kelly Chambers wins Manager of the Month award

Kelly Chambers, manager of Reading Women, was awarded The FA Women’s Super League Manager of the Month for November after overseeing an excellent month for her side.

Reading picked up maximum points in the penultimate month of the year with convincing wins over Bristol City, Brighton and Everton.

Chambers was rewarded for her side’s performances with the Manager of the Month award, the first time she has collected the gong this season.

The manager, who has been in charge of Reading for four years, said:

“It is a real honour to receive this award. It’s definitely not credit just to myself, my team, the players and staff have had a massive input into our achievements over November.”

Reading will hope to maintain their fine form as the season continues. The Women’s Super League now enters a winter break until January 6 when Reading take on third-placed Birmingham.

At the midway stage of the campaign, The Royals are 5th in the table with 18 points from 11 games.
