Canada Lose 3-1 to Armenia in Cyprus

Canada lost 3-1 to Armenia despite taking the lead in an international friendly.

It took just three minutes for Canada to take the lead in Limassol, Cyprus. Former Kansas City and Real Salt Lake forward Yura Movsisyan was in the Armenian line up.

Canada captain Kevin McKenna of 1FC Cologne scored with a header. The lead lasted 20 minutes before Brazilian born Kuban Krasnodar striker Marcos Pizzelli equalised for Armenia.

The match is being broadcast on Sportsnet ONE in Canada, but it is not being streamed online.

Kick off was 9am PST. The half time score is 1-1.

Kenny Stamatopoulos has replaced Milan Borjan in the Canadian goal for the second half.

Psseli added a second for Armenia in the 66th minute before Ajax midfielder Aras Özbiliz converted a penalty to make it 3-1 for Armenia.
