Zakuani and Nyassi Review African Challenge

With the opening round over, everybody has played at least one game in the first World Cup to be played on the African continent.

Radio Sounders takes a look at the African challenge so far. The show grabbed the pre-tournament thoughts of Sounders FC’s two African stars, Gambia’s Sanna Nyassi and Steve Zakuani from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Both were asked their tournament tips and surprisingly give the same answer.

Sanna also discussed the Nothing but Nets charity which provides mosquito nets as part of the fight against malaria in Africa.

Odd note: Uruguay keeper Fernando Muslera played for Uruguay today in Pretoria on his birthday. It was also the birthday of Richard Kingson who kept goal for Ghana v Serbia in the same stadium a few days ago.
