Nkufo’s Switzerland Lose Third Straight Friendly

World Cup Preparation Going Poorly for the Swiss

The world cup preparation cannot be said to have worked like clockwork for Ottmar Hitzfeld’s Switzerland. They suffered their third straight loss on Tuesday, with a non qualifier from the CONCACAF region becoming the latest side to defeat them.

Winston Parks who plays his league football for Timisoara in Romania scored the only goal for Costa Rica in the 57th minute.

Blaise Nkufo playing against his erstwhile Twente Enschede striking partner Bryan Ruiz played the first 64 minutes before being replaced by FC Basle’s Xherdan Shaqiri.
