USA’s opening World Cup opponents England continued their build up with a second win, this time over Japan. The 21- win followed a 3-1 success over Mexico.
England’s side had some players unlikely to start against the USA and that should be sufficient comfort that fans needn’t be overtly concerned about a sub par performance in a game which they eventually won. Two own goals by the Japanese helped England overturn a one goal deficit to run out 2-1 winners in Graz, Austria.
