HARRISON, NJ – The Scotland National Team cruised to a 4-0 victory over Bolivia in a Road to 26 international friendly on Saturday afternoon.
The match kicked off at Sports Illustrated Stadium to a crowd of 13,500.

The match kicked off with Scotland passing the ball back from the center circle as they sent the ball into Bolivia’s defensive third.
Robson Matheus had Bolivia’s first chance of the match in the 2nd minute, but his volleyed effort sailed high over the crossbar.
Entering the 5th minute, Scotland took the lead.
Following a combination between Andrew Robertson and Ryan Christie, the ball was worked down the left flank to Robertson, who delivered a back-post cross that found the head of Lawrence Shankland for the opening goal, making it 1-0.
Ché Adams had a chance of his own just two minutes later, but his deflected effort was saved by goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra.
Scotland had another opportunity in the 9th minute when Ryan Christie’s right-footed effort drifted wide of the target.
Ché Adams had another chance in the 20th minute when his right-footed effort from outside the box flashed just wide of the inside of the left post.
Entering the 23rd minute, Scotland added to their lead.
Following a combination play between Ryan Christie and Lawrence Shankland, the ball was laid off to Scott McTominay at the top of the box, and the midfielder fired a right-footed shot into the bottom-right corner to make it 2-0.
Bolivia’s best chance of the first half came in the 28th minute when Robson Matheus tested Angus Gunn with a shot from outside the box, but the Scotland goalkeeper made a comfortable save.
Entering the 30th minute, Scotland added to their lead.
Winger Ben Doak drove down the right flank and delivered a ball to the back post, where Ché Adams was on hand to tap home and make it 3-0.
Ryan Christie had another chance for Scotland in the 33rd minute, but his right-footed effort was saved by goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra.
In the 35th minute, Bolivia midfielder Roberto Fernandez was issued a yellow card for a harsh foul on Scotland winger Ben Doak.
Ben Doak had a golden opportunity to add to Scotland’s lead in the 39th minute, but his right-footed shot from inside the box was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra.
Entering the 45th minute, Scotland added to their lead.
Ben Doak laid the ball off to Ché Adams, whose initial effort was blocked. The rebound fell straight back to the forward, who slotted his finish into the bottom-right corner to make it 4-0.
After the initial 45+3 minutes, the match entered halftime with Scotland ahead 4-0.

Prior to the start of the second half, both teams made changes. Scotland head coach Steve Clarke replaced Andy Robertson and Ryan Christie with Kieran Tierney and John McGinn, while Bolivia head coach Óscar Villegas introduced Lucas Macazaga, Carlos Melgar, and Guilmar Centella in place of Yomar Rocha, Daniel Ribera, and Moisés Paniagua.
The second half kicked off with Bolivia controlling possession from the center circle and working the ball through midfield.
John McGinn had Scotland’s first chance of the second half in the 50th minute when his effort toward goal was deflected behind for a corner kick.
Scott McTominay then had a chance from the ensuing corner when his header towards the net was blocked by his own teammate.

Bolivia had a golden opportunity in the 53rd minute when Carlos Melgar’s free kick forced an acrobatic save from goalkeeper Angus Gunn, who denied Bolivia a chance to pull one back.
In the 57th minute, Bolivia midfielder Tonino Melgar was issued a yellow card for dissent.
Scotland should have extended their lead in the 61st minute when Lawrence Shankland missed from fewer than six yards out.
Following the missed opportunity, Scotland head coach Steve Clarke made a quadruple substitution, replacing Ché Adams, Lawrence Shankland, Ben Doak, and Aaron Hickey with Ross Stewart, George Hirst, Findlay Curtis and Anthony Ralston.

In the 64th minute, Bolivia head coach Óscar Villegas made multiple changes by replacing Efraín Morales & Gabriel Villamíl with Marcelo Tórrez & Leonardo Zabala.
Grant Hanley had the next chance for Scotland in the 67th minute when his header from a a corner kick went over the bar.
Three minutes later, Scotland head coach Steve Clarke made another change, replacing Scott McTominay with Kenny McLean in the 70th minute.
In the 79th minute, both teams made changes. Scotland head coach Steve Clarke made three changes by replacing Grant Healey, Jack Hendry, & Lewis Ferguson with Tyler Fletcher, John Souttar, & Dominic Hyam. Bolivia head coach Óscar Villegas made one change by replacing Robson Matheus with Nabil Nacif.

Carlos Melgar had a chance for Bolivia in the 81st minute, but his right-footed effort was blocked away.
Two minutes later, Scotland defender Anthony Ralston was issued a yellow card for a harsh foul near midfield.

Two minutes later, in the 87th minute, Bolivia head coach Óscar Villegas made two changes by replacing Miguel Terceros & Ervin Vaca with Óscar López & Leonardo Viviani.
Scotland’s next major chance came a minute later when George Hirst’s effort from the right side of the box narrowly missed the inside of the left post.
After 90+3 minutes, the match concluded with a 4-0 victory for Scotland.
