FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution (3-0-3, 9 pts.) were victorious 1-0 versus D.C. United (2-1-4, 7 pts) on Saturday night.
The match kicked off at 7:30 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium to a crowd of 15,454.

The match kicked off with D.C. United starting from the center circle as they swiftly advanced the ball into New England’s defensive third.
D.C. United had a massive chance in the 2nd minute when midfielder Matti Peltola’s long distant first shot struck the outside of the post and was eventually cleared.
Ilay Feingold had New England’s first shot of the match just two minutes later after a great combination play between Langoni, Yueill, Gil, & Turgeman that led to his shot going wide for a goal kick.
Aaron Herrera had a great chance less than a minute later when his shot from the six-yard box went just wide of the right post.

Luca Langoni had a chance in the 12th minute when his left-footed shot was met with a parry save by goalkeeper Sean Johnson.
Gabriel Pirani had an effort towards goal in the 19th minute that was comfortably saved by goalkeeper Matt Turner.
D.C. United’s next chance came in the 30th minute when a free kick delivery into the area led to a head-to-head collision between Lucas Bartlett & Jackson Yueill.
Entering the 34th minute, New England took the lead.
Following a delivery into the area by Carles Gil, the ball was chested down by Will Sands, trapped by Dor Turgeman, and then was played to Alhassan Yusuf for the easy finish to make it 1-0 to New England.
D.C. United’s next chance came in the 36th minute when a shot towards goal by midfielder Joao Peglow was deflected out for a corner kick.
Gabriel Pirani had a chance to center the ball entering the 45+5 minute, however, it was claimed comfortably by goalkeeper Matt Turner.
After the initial 45+7 minutes, the match entered halftime with New England ahead 1-0.

The second half began with New England starting from the center circle as they swiftly advanced the ball into D.C. United’s defensive third.
Dor Turgeman had the first shot of the second half when his effort from just outside the center of the box in the 51st minute was sent high into the stratosphere.
In the 60th minute, both teams made changes. Revolution game day head coach Michael Morris made his first change of the match by replacing midfielder Jackson Yueill with defender Peyton Miller. D.C. United head coach René Weiler made his first change by replacing forward Gabriel Pirani for forward Louis Munteanu.
Jackson Hopkins had a chance for D.C. United in the 69th minute when his centering ball was deflected away by midfielder Brooklyn Raines that snuck just wide of his own goal.
Just a minute later, Jacob Bartlett & Silvan Hefti both had massive chances to level the scoreline of the ensuing corner kick but the effort went beckoning.

In the 72nd minute, Revolution game day head coach Michael Morris made his second change of the match by replacing winger Luca Langoni with winger Griffin Yow.
Just two minutes later, in the 74th minute, D.C. United head coach René Weiler made his second change of the match by replacing midfielder Brandon Servania with midfielder Gavin Turner.
Dor Turgeman had the best chance of the half in the 80th minute when a free kick effort sent into the area was headed towards goal and was met with an unbelievable save by Sean Johnson.
Peyton Miller had a massive chance in the 85th minute when his one-time attempt struck the post and just missed the net.
In the 87th minute, D.C. United head coach René Weiler made his third & fourth changes of the match by replacing defender Lucas Bartlett & forward Jackson Hopkins with forward Jacob Murrell & midfielder Caden Clark.

Dor Turgeman had a massive chance in the 88th minute when his bicycle kick attempt went just over the bar.
Peyton Miller then had a chance of his own just one minute later when his back-heel attempt inside the six-yard box was saved away by goalkeeper Sean Johnson.
Less than a minute later, Revolution game day head coach Michael Morris made his final change by replacing defender Peyton Miller with defender Eric Klein.
Matt Turner made an unbelievable save in the 90+2 minute after denying Joao Peglow from less than six-yards out to essentially secure the result for New England.
After the 90+4 minutes, the match concluded with New England holding on for the 1-0 victory.
