MARCH 7, 2026 – PORTLAND, OR: Vancouver Whitecaps celebrate a goal during MLS Regular Season Week 2 Vancouver Whitecaps 4-1 victory over the Portland Timbers on March 7, 2026, at Providence Park, Portland, OR (Photo by Diego G Diaz).

Vancouver had another strong performance at Providence Park, routing the Timbers 4-1 in the first Cascadia Cup match of the 2026 season. Portland’s atmosphere was amazing, with another sold-out stadium showing why it is one of the most iconic MLS experiences. The Timbers Army showed an impressive multi-paneled Tifo, and the light show and fireworks presented the stage for a night to remember. It wasn’t for Portland, though; it was for Vancouver fans to extend their bragging rights with another hefty victory over their rivals.

Brian White scored twice in the 21st and 87th minutes, Tristan Blackmon in the 49th, and Sebastian Berhalter in the 63rd, for the Whitecaps, while the youth debutant Eric Izoita became the youngest Timber to score a goal for the green and gold in the 72nd minute.
