Portland Timbers Briefly

An amazing feat at home with a 3-2 win over a depleted  Columbus Crew, that despite tying the game, an amazing Ariel Lassiter won the game and earned three golden three points for the home team.

Despite the efforts of Velde to get the Timbers on the board, it was Mora, Antony, and Lassiter with the game-winning goal, as in the end, the Timbers got an amazing result at home.

Still, the need to deliver for manager Neville is imperative for the man who has become solid in the helm of the Rose City side as he needs to deliver wins in the end after all the man has made it clear on his desires to win and maybe win a championship.

Too early to tell, and maybe this season can become the team’s campaign going all the way to the league championship and win their second trophy, but this is too early to tell!

In the end, this team has potential despite not reinforcing its game with a creative midfielder, and maybe getting a player or two in the offseason. Will the Timbers get someone in mid-season? The question lingers in the air.

Colorado Rapids Briefly

Not the start envisioned for manager Matt Wells, losing in his first match against a hungry Seattle Sounders looking to win everything in this season, and making the former Spurs assistant look bad on opening day.

Instead, manager Wells was defeated on his debut and is looking forward to an eventful win over the Timbers playing at home at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park back in Commerce City, Colorado.

Looking forward to seeing if manager Wells can bounce back with the Rapids, as the man is looking forward to making an interesting season for the people at Commerce City and looking to make it a decorous season in the end.

Time will tell, indeed!

Forecast

A must-win game for the Portland Timbers if they continue to make their records as last season
