Tacoma Stars 5-4 San Diego Sockers

KENT, WA–The Tacoma Stars maintained their 100% record at ShoWare Center after a 5-4 win over the San Diego Sockers on Sunday. Both teams got a single goal in each of the first three quarters. Then, the Stars got back-to-back goals in the fourth quarter by Tyler John and Jamael Cox to make it 5-3. Luiz Morales pulled one back for the Sockers with 5:46 left, but they would get no closer as the Stars held on for the win.

The Stars are now third in the Major Arena Soccer League table, six points behind league leaders Kansas City who have played ten matches compared to the Stars’ five. The Stars travel to Ontario, CA, to play the Empire Strikers on Thursday at 6:35pm PT before returning home to play the St, Louis Ambush on Sunday at 5pm PT.
