What a season the Chrome and Azul had breaking several records and finishing in first place in the Western Conference in their inaugural season. For manager Mickey Varas, this was considered a success, and really, this was an all-around success in spite of the Conference Final loss to Vancouver. .

Hirving “Chucky” Lozano played and made an impact with the team, but his unfortunate side came with a fight in the locker room. Still, the man delivered, and what a way. Anders Dreyer and his countrymen Jeppe Tverskov and Markus Ingarsten also delivered in spades for San Diego..

The man from Norway, Amahl Pellegrino, contributed with goals as well, CJ Santos was amazing in goal, before succumbing to injury, and his presence was felt heavily.

Luca Bombino, on loan from LAFC, Manu Duah, Christopher McVey, and Ian Pilcher delivered despite the loss against the Whitecaps, but in the end, this became an all-around experience for Corey Baird, on loan from FC Cincinnati, and David Vasquez, on loan from the Philadelphia Union.

In the end, kudos to manager Mickey Varas and his amazing coaching staff, composed of Frank Hjoteberg, Kelvin Jones, Luciano Fusco, and goalkeeper coach Jason Grubb on a tremendous season.
