Manager Mickey Varas will make history if his Chrome and Azul defeat the Vancouver Whitecaps, who delivered a one-of-a-kind season and almost won the race for the Supporters Shield.

For Varas, his lineup is composed of a terrible front line led by Anders Dreyer, Corey Baird, recently acquired from FC Cincinnati, and Amahl Pellegrino. This is an explosive lineup, and without counting out Hirving “Chucky” Lozano.

The midfield is very solid with Onni Valakari, Jeppe Tverskov, and Anibal Godoy with the way these players delivered with many skills in every play.

This team has a chance to make history. Debutante manager Varas is seen as a very fortunate man after taking his team all the way to the Western Conference Final in their debut year!

Still, there’s a lot to be learned from the San Diego FC lads as they have to put their best game ever and try to move on to MLS Cup with either NYCFC or Inter Miami and you know who these teams have in their lineup.

Nothing to worry for manager Varas and company as they are ready, solidly ready to deliver an amazing Western Conference final for their man at the helm, history is in the making!

Vancouver Whitecaps Briefly

Another man to praise is manager Jesper Sorensen after the man led the Vancouver Whitecaps to second place and was at one time in the Supporters Shield race for a good time as the Dane led them to the Western Conference Final.

Until the lads of San Diego F.C. made history, Sorensen played with a unique 4-2-3-1 formation with Brian White as his lead man, accompanied by Thomas Muller, Emmanuel Sabi, and Ali Ahmed, going with Sebastian Berhalter and Andres Cubas.

Unfortunately, the Caps won’t have the services of Tristan Blackmon after his yellow-card accumulation and will miss the conference finals. As the question lingers, who will manager Sorensen pick to be his defender, Joedrick Pupe, the man from Belgium, or Guissepe Bovalina, the man from Down Under.

A final for the nerves, and whoever raises and plays the best game will become the overall victor in this meeting as I see both sides very even. Despite one defender down, I don’t doubt manager Sorensen’s ability to put someone in to make an immediate impact.

This game can go either way, and in the end, in this conference final
