Fire announce 2026 fixture list

CHICAGO, IL–Recreating Mike Magee’s “day off” from 2014, Chicago Fire FC announced their 2026 fixture list.The Fire’s 29th season will open on Saturday, February 21st, at Shell Engergy Stadium in Houston against the Dynamo. The following Saturday see the Fire’s first ever home match in February (the 28th) with a 1:30 kickoff against CF Montreal. From there, six of the next nine games will be at Soldier Field, including a string of three in a row against Sporting Kansas City, FC Cincinnati, and Red Bull New York. Before that, the Fire’s first chance at revenge against Philadelphia Union comes on March 21st at Subaru Park. The match at Soldier Field (or SeatGeek Stadium depending on when the Bears announce their schedule) takes place on October 14th.

The Fire will host Inter Miami on Saturday, September 9th at Solder Field. As far as non-conference opponents besides Houston and Sporting KC, they include Vancouver (home), Portland (home), Seattle (away), and Colorado (away). It is the first time since 2019 that the Fire will play all three Cascadia sides in the same year.

There will be a break between June 11th and July 19th for the World Cup. As a result, the Fire will play seven matches on Wednesdays or Thursdays, including four at home. The Fire will also embark on a four-match away trip starting August 19th against Orlando through September 5th against Toronto FC.

The Fire will be on Apple TV’s Sunday Night Soccer twice during the year. First, will be August 16th as Portland Timbers will visit Chicago for the first time in eight years. The other time will be September 13th against New England.
