Portland Timbers Briefly

Not the result that manager Phil Neville was looking for with a tie that extends the agony of the Portland Timbers looking to clinch next Saturday night against their arch nemesis, the Seattle Sounders.

Despite the tie and an own goal, and Cristian Paredes now with renewed hopes of becoming a starter, the man is really looking forward to bringing back that spark that put him on the bench, and as the man is ready to bring it on.

A team loaded with the right players can deliver the expected pass into the postseason with top class, this team never surrenders in the end, and puts on a fight from start to finish, as it did against Vancouver on the road.

One team committed to anything and looking forward to a victory on the road against the Emerald City side that has already clinched a spot for the postseason, in the end, they are looking to wrap it up on the positive side.

The arrival of new players to reinforce the midfield as the frontal attack, will be all eyes on Matias Rojas as the man from Paraguay has been very active since his arrival. Also, Kristian Velde and Pablo Carvallo look to have a lot of potential. Velde will look to disrupt defenses while Carvallo is returning from injury and looking to return to the starting lineup.

Seattle Sounders Briefly

Brian Schmetzer’s Sounders have clinched a playoff spot, but they would prefer to host a first round series.

This team always has a reason to play hard and give them an opening; they will really play their best game, making their foes and opposing defenses really give out their best game.

A lethal and powerful combination of Jordan Morris, Jesus Ferreira, Albert Rusnak, and Paul Rothrock makes any defense have a not-so-pleasant day and become their worst nightmares!

The Sounders recently won the Leagues Cup to add to their two MLS Cups, a Supporters’ Shield, four US Open Cups, and a Concacaf Cup. This team has won it all and every year since their inception, they have never missed a spot in this prestigious event.

A must-win for the Portland Timbers to clinch a spot in the postseason
