Leo Campana named to MLS Team of the Matchday 27 despite loss to RBNY

FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution forward Leo Campana has made the MLS Team of the Matchday 25 following Saturday night’s 5-3 loss versus New York Red Bulls

This is Leo Campana’s first appearance in MLS Team of the Week this season.

Leo Campana obtained a position in the MLS Team of the Matchday 25 for his significant performance on Saturday afternoon. Campana, who played 90 minutes finished the match with an 8.8 rating according to Fotmob. Offensively, Leo had 2 goals on 6 shot attempts (50% shot accuracy). Campana had 36 touches and 2 passes into the final third. The forward went 17/23 (74%) on accurate passes and 0/1 (0%) on accurate crosses. He was dispossessed 0 times during the match with 0 chances created. Campana defensively went 0/2 (0%) on tackles won and went 5/8 (62%) on aerial duels. He had 1 tackle & 1 recovery.  He was fouled 0 times and committed 3 fouls during the match.

Caleb Porter and New England Revolution (6-7-9, 25 pts.) return home to face off against Eastern Conference side Orlando City SC (9-8-5, 35 pts). The match is set to kickoff at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, July 19th at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
