Inter Milan 2-1 Urawa Red Diamonds
SEATTLE, WA–Urawa Red Diamonds were upset-minded and for a while, it looked like they could pull it off against the runners-up from this year’s UEFA Champions League. However, a goal in the 78th minute and a goal in stoppage time by Inter Milan would sink Urawa and eliminate them from the competition at Lumen Field.

It would be the J-League side who took the lead in the 11th minute when Takuro Kaneko made a run into the box and fed Ryona Watanabe who beat Yann Sommer near post. For 67 minutes, it looked as though Urawa would pull off the upset.
However, in the 78th minute, Lautauro Martinez would equalize from an overhead kick off a corner from Nicolo Barella. Two minutes into second half stoppage time, Valentin Carboni would take advantage of a loose ball in the box and send Inter Milan on the cusp of advancing to the next round while Urawa is eliminated.
Urawa will finish on Wednesday against Monterrey of Mexico at the Rose Bowl (6pm, DAZN) while Inter Milan will take on River Plate at Lumen Field in Seattle at the same time to determine who wins Group E.
