Seattle Sounders FC 1-0 FC Dallas

SEATTLE, WA–The Sounders returned to winning ways at Lumen Field as a late penalty kick by Albert Rusnak gave the hosts a 1-0 victory and moved them to fifth in the Western Conference. FC Dallas have won just once in their last eight league matches and scored just once in their last four.

Jesus Ferreira had a pair of chances in the opening ten minutes, but the first one went over the bar and the other was stopped by Maarten Paes from close range. Albert Rusnak had a chance in the 67th minute, but shot just wide.Nouhou would come close three minutes later as well. Girogi Minoungou had a goal chalked off due to offside in the 75th minute.

The opportunity from the penalty shot came in the 85th minute after Osage Urhoghide handed a ball in the box. Rusnak stepped up and scored and became the first player since Steve Ralston to score 25 goals and tally 25 assists in the regular season for two different teams.

The Sounders next play on Wednesday night when they host San Diego FC. Kickoff is at 7:30pm PT on Apple TV. Dallas next play at home next Saturday against Philadelphia (7:30pm CT, Apple TV).
