FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution midfielder Carles Gil has made the MLS Team of the Matchday 12 following Saturday night’s 3-3 draw versus Orlando City SC.

This is Carles Gil’s fifth appearance in MLS Team of the Week this season. He previously featured in Matchday 6, Matchday 8, Matchday 10, & Matchday 11.

Carles Gil obtained a position in the MLS Team of the Matchday 11 for his striking performance on Saturday afternoon. Gil, who played 90 minutes finished the match with an 9.2 rating according to Fotmob. Offensively, Carles had 1 goal on 1 shot attempts (100% shot accuracy) with 1 assist. Gil had 87 touches and 12 passes into the final third. The midfielder went 56/65 (86%) on accurate passes throughout the match with 4/6 accuracy on long balls (67%) and 4/5 (80%) on accurate crosses. He went 4/6 (80%) on successful dribbles and was dispossessed 0 times during the match with 4 chances created. He also took 3 corners during the match. Gil defensively went 8/10 (80%) on tackles won & had zero aerial duels. He had 1 tackle & 1 recovery.  He was fouled 3 times and committed 0 fouls during the match.

Caleb Porter and New England Revolution (5-2-4, 17 pts.) return home to face off against Western Conference side San Jose Earthquakes (5-1-6, 16 pts). The match is set to kickoff at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, May 17th at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
