Seattle Sounders FC 4-1 St. Louis City SC

SEATTLE, WA–Seattle Sounders FC continued their climb up the table winning their third match from their last four with a 4-1 victory over St. Louis City SC. The Sounders climb to seventh in the Western Conference table with the win.

Things started inauspiciously in the 26th minute as Yeimar was penalized for taking down Cedric Teuchert in the area. Marcel Hartel would convert the spot kick giving the visitors a 1-0 lead. That was canceled out in the 31st minute as Timo Bumgartl tripped up Paul Rothrock at the opposite area. Albert Rusnak converted the spot kick to level the match.
