Carles Gil named to MLS team of the Matchday 6 after 2 goal performance versus RBNY

FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution midfielder Carles Gil has made the MLS Team of the Matchday 6 following Saturday night’s 2-1 victory over New York Red Bulls.

Carles Gil obtained a position in the MLS Team of the Matchday 6 for his spectacular performance on Saturday afternoon. Gil, who played all 90 minutes finished the match with an 9.2 rating according to Fotmob. Offensively, Carles had 2 goals on 4 shot attempts (100% accuracy). Gil had 72 touches and 10 passes into the final third. The midfielder went 36/46 (78%) on accurate passes throughout the match with 2/6 accuracy on long balls (33%) and 1/6 (17%) on accurate crosses. He went 0/1 (0%) on successful dribbles and was dispossessed 2 times during the match with 3 chances created. He also took 3 corners during the match.
