Seattle Seawolves 27-24 New England Free Jacks

TUKWILA, WA–A Malachi Elsdale try two minutes from time gave the Seattle Seawolves a 27-24 victory over the New England Free Jack in Major League Rugby action on Saturday–their first of the season. The try also gave the Seawolves a bonus point in the standings to go with the two bonus points for losing within seven points the previous two weeks. Seattle had overcome an early 14-0 deficit in the first 11 minutes of the match.

Cameron Orr scored two tries for the hosts while Simon-Peter Toleaofa scored two tries for the Free Jacks who get a bonus point in the standings, but the loss puts them nine points adrift of Eastern leaders Chicago in the early going.

The Seawolves next play RFCLA in Los Angles on Saturday at 7pm Pacific time with the match streamed on ESPN+. New England host NOLA Gold on Saturday for a 2pm ET kickoff.
