Free agent defender Tanner Beason signs with New England Revolution

FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution have signed veteran free agent defender Tanner Beason.

Beason will occupy a senior roster slot.

James Tanner Beason is a 27-year-old, 6’1, 176lb defender from Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

At the club level, Beason has played 122 career games (9,064 minutes) across the United States. He was drafted 12th overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft and has spent his entire playing career has been with Major League Soccer side San Jose Earthquakes (2020-2024).

Internationally, Beason has zero international experience.

In total career numbers, the defender has contributed 0 career goals, 2 assists, along with 8 yellow cards and 1 red card.

The club announced that Beason has been signed through the 2025 season with a club option for the 2026 campaign.

His current salary is unknown.
