Fire release 2025 fixture list

Schedule a bit more consistent than in years past (for now).

CHICAGO, IL–Chicago Fire FC released their fixture list for 2025 on Thursday. The FIre’s 28th season will begin Saturday, February 22nd, at 6:30pm CT against Columbus Crew at Lower.com Field. One week later, the home opener takes place against DC United at 7:30pm CT. Those and most other games this season will be on Apple TV as part of the MLS Season Pass unless later stated.

New to the Season Pass is a featured match that will take place on Sundays. The FIre’s one Sunday home match will be on April 13th against Inter Miami with a 3:30pm CT kickoff. There will be just one Wednesday kickoff as well and that’s June 25th against Philadelphia Union. The reminder will be on Saturdays, though home games from August onwards are subject to be moved to Bridgeview’s SeatGeek Stadium once the Bears announce their schedule in April.

It is a more balanced home schedule than the last couple years with each month from March thru September having at least two home games with June and September having three. The home finale will be on October 4th against Toronto FC with Decision Day two weeks later at New England.

The six Western Conference opponents this year will be at Dallas (Mar. 8), at Vancouver (Mar. 22), vs. San Diego (Jul. 12), vs. LAFC (Aug. 9), vs. St. Louis (Aug. 16), and at Minnesota (Sept. 20). Eastern Conference foes will be played home and away.

Leagues Cup will run between July 29th and August 31st with matches in midweek. The FIFA World Club Cup takes place in the USA between June 14th and July 13th. Both Inter Miami and Seattle Sounders FC will take part and do not have matches scheduled between the 14th and 27th of June for now. Should either or both advance to the knockout stage, it is expected that matches schedule in July will be postponed to make way.
