Neville and Evander Preview Timbers visit to Seattle Sounders for Cascadia Cup Final Show Down on Decision Day

The Portland Timbers will conclude their 2024 MLS regular season run in Seattle against the Seattle Sounders at Lumen Field on Saturday, October 19th at 6:00 PM Pacific Time. Both teams have already clinched their postseason tickets, still they will be playing for more than rivalry bragging rights, as Seattle needs a win to win the Cascadia Cup. A fan-created tournament that also includes Vancouver Whitecaps, all teams that belong to the geographical region with its namesake. Currently, Vancouver leads, follow by Portland by just one point, and Seattle is trailing by 2. A win would give the cup to Seattle, while a tie, would give it to Portland who would beat Vancouver by a better over all goal average.

Here is some thoughts by head coach Phill Neville and designated player and MVP candidate Evander Ferreira.
