Portland Timbers Briefly

The way this team is playing lately, one by staging a stunning comeback against St Louis last Saturday while playing at home. These Portland Timbers are nobody’s jesters, nor are they they dominant side.

Yet another exciting Cascadia Derby is coming up, and the last time these two meets went in favor of the Emerald City side by just a single goal. Still, the Rose City side has several weapons, despite Felipe Mora being out due to his unjust red card.

With Evander, Jona Rodriguez, and Santi Moreno among the weapons for the Timbers, one thing the Rose City needs to be on its best defensive game as well being on top of it!

The Carioca player was on fire, scoring the equalizer against the Midwest side. This saved the team from what could have been a defeat.

In the end, his beautiful goal turned him into the game hero!

Also Antony and Mason Toye that can become a living nightmare for the opposing Sounder defenders if these come very inspired.

A must-win match for the Portland Timbers with its backfield being on its best game, somehow, I see a lot of opportunity for these Timbers to come out with the win as well as Cascadia’s bragging rights.

The Cascadia Derby is considered the best of the best of Derbies as the passion and drama that unfolds in every match.

Many called it Rivalry Week.

 

Seattle Sounders Briefly

The Seattle Sounders started the season with a slump and somehow, they have managed to turn the corner and trying to continue on a path towards the playoffs for the remainder of the season.

For manager Brian Schmetzer seeing the way his team is recovering slowly but surely, he will be looking for another hard-fought win on the road with his Rave Greens.

Schmetzer will be looking for a win, but still has another renewed team with the hard-fighting Portland Timbers looking at any cost to put in a win that can change everything in the Cascadia standings.

Another great matchup between the Timbers and Sounders and looking forward to another exciting and filled-with-hunger Cascadia Derby promising to be another exciting and one-of-a-kind match.
