USA 2-0 Bolivia
ARLINGTON, TX–The US Men’s National Team opened their Copa America campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Bolivia at AT&T Stadium on Sunday evening. Christian Pulisic opened the the scoring with a rocket shot from outside the area in just the third minute of the match. Pulisic turned provider in the 44th minute feeding Folarin Balogun to double the USA’s advantage.
It could arguably have been more for the USA on this night, but for the exploits of goalkeeper Guillermo Viscara who made six saves. Matt Turner was credited with three saves for the USA.
Later in the evening in Miami, Uruguay defeated Panama, 3-1, on goals by Maxi Araujo, Darwin Nuñez, and Matias Viña. Michael Murillo added a consolation goal for Panama.
The USA next take on Panama in Atlanta on Thursday at 6pm ET on Fox while Uruguay take on Bolivia at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey with a 9pm ET kickoff on FS2.
