Charlotte FC prepares to take on DC United after a week off

After an off week following a 3-2 road win over Atlanta United, Charlotte FC is set to take on DC United at home.

After the week off, Charlotte dropped from fifth to sixth in the MLS Eastern Conference with 25 points and a 7-6-4 record. DC United on the other hand sits in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with 19 points and a 4-6-7 record.

Through 17 matches, Charlotte FC has a goal differential of zero, having scored and allowed 18 goals. Through 17 matches of their own, DC United has scored 25 goals and allowed 31, the second most goals allowed in the Eastern Conference. DC United star Christian Benteke has scored 13 of their 25 goals, making him the second highest goal scorer in MLS.

Charlotte FC has no injuries listed on this week’s injury report while DC United will be without Steven Birnbaum, Connor Antley, Christopher McVey, Russell Canouse and Jackson Hopkins due to injuries.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. EST on Saturday, June 15 and will be available to stream on the MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
