Robins take on Warriors in Thursday night clash

In a game that could see Hull KR leapfrog Wigan into the top two spots, it’s set to be quite the showdown at Craven Park in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

With everything to play for at the minute in Super League and no real obvious run-away team so far in 2023, both sides will fancy their chances of having celebratory scenes come the end of the year.

But it’s on nights like this when you really discover what teams are made of and where the best of the best really come into their own.

The Robins may possibly have the upper hand after defeating the Warriors once already in 2023, right back in round one. But tonight’s encounter will have a much stronger and more meaningful feeling with it truly all to play for.

Matt Peet’s side are possibly going into this one as underdogs with somewhat of a depleted rank after picking up another triple injury knock to his side.

The cherry and whites will be without the likes of Kai Pearce-Paul and Willie Isa who have both suffered long term injuries to add to the likes of Jai Field who is facing months out on the side-lines.

But Hull KR are able to welcome back Matt Parcell and Sauaso Sue who come back into the fold in replace of the suspended Rhys Kennedy and injured George King who is expected to be fit again next week.

There’s opportunity for a Super League debut for Yusuf Aydin who’s included as well as captain Shaun Kenny-Dowall who’s playing his first game since announcing his upcoming retirement at the end of the year as he views a role into the coaching side of Rugby League.

But for now, his sole focus will be on repeating his last performance against the Warriors where he scored a hat-trick and set Hull well on their way to securing their first points of the season.

With all the action available to watch on Sky Sports Arena, it’s sure to be an interesting match-up. Here are the two 21-man squads heading into the encounter:
