Bradford City will be looking to get back to winning ways as they welcome fellow Yorkshire side Harrogate Town to Valley Parade.

The Bantams started life without Derek Adams on Saturday and fell to a 2-0 defeat to Oldham Athletic thanks to goals from Hallam Hope and Davis Keillor-Dunn.

Caretaker manager Mark Trueman will be hoping his side can bounce back and get their first win in two games to make life easier for Adams’ successor.

The club are reportedly holding interviews for a new manager on Thursday and it has also been reported that former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has officially applied for the job.

Opponents from North Yorkshire, Harrogate Town have had a recent dip in form. In their last five games, they have only won once which came against the Bantams at the start of the month as two goals from Jack Diamond helped the Sulphurites to a comfortable victory.

Diamond, on loan from Sunderland, has been an important figure for Harrogate as they have put some distance between them and the relegation zone.

This clash was meant to be played on Boxing Day but due to positive COVID-19 cases in the Bantams camp, the game was postponed.

The hosts will be missing nine players for the clash with Abo Eisa, Charles Vernam and Jamie Walker just a few in a long list of names currently out for the Bantams. Reece Staunton will miss out following an injury sustained against Oldham last time out with Paudie O’Connor picking up a red card in the same fixture and will be suspended for this clash

For Harrogate, Alex Pattison was due for a late fitness test on the weekend before the postponed game with Leyton Orient and he should be fit for the clash at Valley Parade.

This is the third competitive clash between the sides with Harrogate winning all three games. The Sulphurites will be hoping to do the double over the Bantams for the second time in successive seasons after beating them twice in their first-ever season in the Football League.
