Ireland’s Bohemian secured their spot in the next round of the UEFA Europa Conference League with a comfortable 3-0 home win over Luxembourg’s Dudelange to advance 4-0 on aggregate.

Even though the Aviva Stadium was only 20% full, it seemed like there were 50,000 fans inside the ground at times with the famous Lansdowne Road roar coming from all sides of the stadium. Bohemians played with a coolness and a bit of beautiful arrogance at times that you don’t see too often from Irish teams.

Bohs went ahead on the night with a goal in the 34th minute. After a free-kick delivery, Rob Cornwall was able to divert the ball with his head into the back of the net to give the Irish side the lead.

With their two-goal aggregate cushion, most of the second-half saw Bohemian sit back and let their Luxembourg visitors come on to them.

In the 69th minute, Georgie Kelly increased their lead and put the tie well beyond doubt. The 24-year-old forward was not finished there as he scored his second goal on the night after picking his spot perfectly to put Liam Burt’s beautiful through ball away with a great coolness after a great run.

The victory secures a third-round qualifying tie against PAOK from Greece, with the first leg being next Tuesday back in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. There is expected to be another scramble for the 8,000 tickets that go on sale, with last night’s match selling out in less than an hour.
