The 35-year-old joins the Stags for another season as the experienced midfielder signs a one-year contract with the club.

After a fantastic second half of the season at the amber and blues, Stephen Quinn re-joins the Nottinghamshire side for the 2021/22 season.

Joining from Burton Albion, the midfielder brought with him a lot of quality, experience and class on the ball which helped the younger players around him get better.

Featuring 22 times for Mansfield Town, Quinn was able to add two goals and two assists to his all-time tally and he will be looking to add to that further in the new season.

Experience at all levels in English football has helped the midfielder a lot. Dropping down to League Two will definitely bring an element of competitiveness that he is able to note another promotion to his CV.

After signing for the club, the midfielder spoke about last season in a nutshell and that signing for the club permanently was an easy decision.

“I’ve had a great few months here on loan. The lads have taken to me really well and I’m so pleased to be signing permanently now.

“It was a straightforward decision to sign permanently, no question. The football we played over the last few months has been enjoyable.

“We’re a good footballing side and we have to take that into next season produce over the course of a whole campaign.”

Mansfield Town manager Nigel Clough also spoke positively about the experienced 35-year-old and the quality he brings to the side.

“Once we finished last season, it was a priority for us to secure Stephen’s [Quinn] services, once his contract with Burton had finished.”

“I think everyone saw his attributes in the last few months of last season.

“The quality he brings us on the ball stands out at this level. His hunger and desire are evident daily, and we’re delighted to have him board for next season.”

This signing brings a lot of excitement as it more or less solidifies the midfield for the upcoming season and is the third name added to the ranks at Mansfield Town ahead of next season.
