England team news ahead of final Test against India

England and India are back in action tomorrow for the final instalment of the Test Series between the two nations with Virat Kohli’s side 2-1 in front.

With the series finely posied going into the final game, you can expect both sides to name as strong a side as possible as they look to end the series on a high going into the limited over series.

India know they will be without fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah after he requested to leave the team’s bubble due to personal reasons but other than that you would expect the home side to largely name a similar side to the previous game.

It’s a different story for Joe Root’s men, they have been well beaten in the last couple of games, most recently of which was a defeat inside two days in the Day Night Test Match.

Chris Woakes, who hasn’t featured all winter has gone back home to England as part of the rotation policy so won’t be up for selection while Dom Bess is almost certainly going to come back in after missing the last two games.

The pitch and conditions will almost certainly be the same, meaning that the tourists will need to select a minimum of two spinners as they look to find a way back into the series.

There are no new fitness concerns for Root’s men as they look to level the series.

Opener Zak Crawley has spoken to BBC Sport about the opportunity his side have this week if they can claim the win to level the series.

“There’s definitely a way back. We’re only one game down.

“We still have loads of confidence in our ability.

“It’s an unbelievable winter if we can pull off wins in four out of the six Tests.”

The action in Ahmedabad gets underway in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Predicted line up – Burns, Sibley, Crawley, Root (C), Stokes, Pope, Foakes (WK), Bess, Leach, Stone, Anderson.
