Joe Root left out of England T20 squad in India

England Test captain Joe Root has once again been left out of the T20 squad as Eoin Morgan’s men get set for five matches against India next month.

Lancashire batsman Liam Livingstone does make it after impressing for Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash, while Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer all included after having rests in recent and upcoming matches.

The series is an important one for the side as, Morgan gets his side ready for thr World T20 which takes place in India in October.

Alex Hales and James Vince, two players who also impressed in the Big Bash – have also not been selected with the former now near enough writing off his international career after constantly not getting picked in recent months.

 Squad – Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali, Jofra Archer , Jonathan Bairstow, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran , Tom Curran, Chris Jordan , Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy,  Ben Stokes, Reece Topley, Mark Wood 

Bowlers Jake Ball and Matt Parkinson have been names as reserves for the tour which commences on 12th March in Ahmedabad.
