Managerless Fleetwood host relegation threatened Northampton Town.

Fleetwood Town and Northampton Town go head to head in Sky Bet League One tomorrow night.

Fleetwood are in very poor form as of late, having not won their last six games and they remain managerless following the sacking of Joey Barton. They have also lost forward Ched Evans and captain Paul Cotts which has made matters worse for The Fishermen.

Last season’s playoff semi-finalists currently sit 12th in League One after 23 games played and will be hoping to regain their form in the second half of the season, starting with tomorrow night’s game at Highbury. Fleetwood have added to their squad with the signing of Janoi Donacien who joins on loan from Ipswich. He made his debut on Saturday and looks to play again on Tuesday night.

For Northampton they have only picked up four points from a possible 15, and a recent 2-1 defeat to Lincoln City saw them drop into the bottom four. However, it was a promising performance from Keith Curle’s men which has given the Cobblers fans hope that they can avoid an instant return to League Two.

Northampton have had a busy window so far with three incomings and two outgoings. Cobblers icon Nicky Adams recently left to join Oldham Athletic on a permanent deal while target man Harry Smith made the switch to Motherwell on loan. Ryan Edmonton, Bryn Morris and Mickel Miller have all come in and featured in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Lincoln City, all of which had promising debuts.

The last time these sides faced was earlier this season where Northampton came out on top 1-0. Fleetwood had dominated the possession and the game but it was one corner that decided the match.

The timing is perfect for Northampton as they look to do the double over Fleetwood, however The Fishermen will look to seek revenge and end their winless form.
