Leeds United promoted to the Premier League

Leeds United have won promotion to the Premier League, following an 16 year absence.

It comes after West Brom’s 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield. Chris Willock opened the scoring for the Terriers in the opening five minutes, before Dara O’Shea equalised for the visitors with a tap in four minutes before the break.

But Emile Smith Rowe’s goal five minutes from time sealed the deal for Huddersfield, and also their Yorkshire rivals’ elevation to the top flight.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side could seal the Championship with a point at Derby on Sunday, or if Brentford fail to win at Stoke tomorrow.
