Swansea City are now just five points off the play-off places after an emphatic 3-1 win at home to Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Fulham currently sit fourth in the Championship table, five points off Leeds in the final automatic promotion place.
In recent games, 1-1 draws at Millwall and Derby out of context were good results for the Craven Cottage side. It was that hapless 0-3 defeat to bottom of the table Barnsley that made them look less helpful.
Not only does this match risk eliminating any chance of automatic promotion, a loss also invites Swansea onto their doorstep, reducing the margin to just three points.
Steve Cooper has announced that Wayne Routledge will miss tomorrow’s game with a knee problem after being subbed off in the 4-4 draw away at Hull City.
Nathan Dyer is hopeful to return to the squad after having a niggling injury to his knee over the past few days but could be in contention for selection.
Mike Van Der Hoorn remains out of the squad with his persistent knee injury and Cooper is unsure of when a return is likely for the Dutchman but is hopeful to see him back in the jersey before the end of the season.
Terence Kongolo will not play any further part in Fulham’s season after a foot injury and will return to is parent club Huddersfield.
“It’s about trying to get that consistency and momentum, and there’s no better time to try and do that than after a win.
“We got that at the weekend, so we need to build on that.
“It’s all to play for isn’t it? We say it every week, anything can happen, particularly in a three-game week where things can all look so different come the end of play on Saturday.
“So, you have to tighten the focus, and give yourself the best opportunity to be ready for the game in front of you.”
“He had a bad afternoon on Saturday and made two errors, which is obviously unlike him.
“He’s a young keeper, a young boy, but I knew he’d be fine because of the character of him.”
