AC Milan and Torino clash for a place in the semi-final of the Coppa Italia

In the third quarter-final game, AC Milan host Torino at the San Siro as both sides look to book their place in the semi-final of the competition.

The winner will face Juventus in the semi-final who booked their place after defeating Roma by three goals to one.

The Rossoneri are on a decent form winning their last four games and having new players emerging as heroes, the spotlight will be on Ante Rebic. The Croatian joined the Milan club in September on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt but spent the first half of the campaign on the bench.

He finally got his chance two weeks ago, coming on as a substitute against Udinese scoring a brace, one of them being in injury time to clinch the win.

The game that followed saw the 26-year-old starting on the bench and finishing by scoring the only goal in the game against Brescia.

Manager Stefano Pioli confirmed there will be an alteration to the squad, which means there is a high chance of seeing Rebic starting, promising Youcef Bennasser might pick up a few minutes as he will be suspended for the weekend’s league game, Mateo Musacchio can replace Simon Kjaer according to Tuttosport and Asmir Begovic is likely to get his firs start since joining the club.

A heavy lost against Atalanta is a common point between both sides, Milan lost by five clean goals and have had a month to recover from he humiliation. However, Walter Mazzarri’s men come from a seven goal defeat against The Goddess.

Torino lost their last two games and were not able to win against Milan in the San Siro in the last 13 games in all competitions.

Nonetheless, the last time they met Andrea Belotti lead his team with a double that cancelled Krzysztof Piątek’s first half penalty.

Mazzarri will be relying on his number nine as he will be the away side’s biggest threat with 15 goals in all competitions this season.
