Mansfield, who currently sit in 14th place, with the Stags playing a vital and winnable game last Saturday against Macclesfield. The game ended in a 0-0 bore draw, but with Mansfield gaining a vital point away from home.
Swindon Town have played twice in the last week. Salford away from home which they came out 3-2 victors on the day but, they did not come out victorious in their FA Cup First Round replay against Cheltenham Town, which they ended up losing 1-0.
Midfielder Otis Khan could be back in contention for the game after a groin injury, but Neal Bishop (back) is likely to miss out.
Both Danny Rose (hamstring) and Hayden White (leg) will not feature due to injury.
The trio of Dion Conroy, Lloyd Isgrove and Keshi Anderson will likely miss out for the Robins.
“We were in the FA Cup to go as far as possible and to try and make as much money as a club.
“That will help us financially, and it allows us to strengthen the squad, which is the most important thing for the league.
“Over the two ties, we’ve been really, really good at their place, and pretty decent at home.”
“Swindon are in good form and have some very good players,” he told iFollow Stags. “At home, they’re very well-supported. It will be a good atmosphere.
“We’ll be going into the game in a positive mood because we’re unbeaten in six away from home. Our home form’s been poor, but our away form is very good.
“We’ll go there and we’re hoping to return with three points. We’ll prepare as we always do throughout the week, we’ll look at their strengths and weaknesses then prepare ourselves.”
In the last five outings between the two clubs, Swindon are unbeaten against the Stags with the Robins beating the amber and blues on three occassions with the clubs drawing on the other two occasions.
