This weekends fixture sees a potential 6 pointer as Crystal Palace face Norwich.

After both came away from disappointing results on the weekend, Farke and Hodgson will be hoping that their sides can get the points that can push them away from the bottom three.

The Eagles drew to Wolves 1-1 at home after conceding a goal in the 95th minute, and after Jack Grealish’s disallowed goal in the 94th minute in their home fixture before that, Crystal Palace look to be struggling to see off games and Roy will be hoping that Wilfried Zaha comes to form after not scoring or assisting this season.
Meanwhile, the Canaries struggled to create chances as they were easily beaten 2-0 away at Burnley, but with an inform Teemu Pukki supported by Tom Cantwell, Norwich can be a deadly strikeforce in the league, as they proved against Manchester City.

Team news

Roy Hodgson will be happy to report that he only has one player definitely unavailable. Striker Conor Wickham cannot seem to maintain fitness and it is unknown when he will return. However, there is slight worry about Mamadou Sakho after he suffered a knock in training during the week.
Norwich has suffered the most injuries in the league this season (13). Klose, Zimmerman, Hernandez, Trybull, Vrancic, Fahrmann and Krul re all unavailable whilst Tettey will be assessed. There is something to smile about though as Max Aaron’s will also be assessed before the game after returning to training earlier than thought.

Home manager (Roy Hodgson)

Hodgson spoke in-depth about players like Schlupp, who may not be contributing with goals this season, but is doing a lot more on the pitch than critics think.

“I think Jeff Schlupp is one of those underrated players. He’s a good runner with the ball and a good striker of the ball but so much of the good work he does for the team goes unnoticed.”

Away manager (Daniel Farke)

Farke commented more on Aaron’s injury.

“The good news is Max Aarons could return earlier than expected. It’s down to the good work of our physios and good work from him. He will travel with us to Palace.”

Head-to-head

In their last 5 fixtures against each other, Crystal Palace have won 2, whilst Norwich have won 1, with the other two fixtures being drawn, however, Crystal Palace haven’t beaten Norwich at Selhurst Park since 2008.
When they last played each other Crystal Palace scraped to a 1-0 win which was crucial to them staying up back in 2016
