Former West Ham United defender dealt prison sentence

Tomas Repka has been sentenced to nine-months in prison for drink driving.

The former West Ham United defender received his latest sentence just two weeks after being dealt a 15-month spell after being convicted of fraud.

Repka appeared 46 times for the Czech Republic but, due to previous criminal offences, the 44-year-old’s two previous suspended sentences for drink driving were turned into jail terms.

Last year, Repka received a six-month jail term after offering sexual services in the name of his ex-wife without her knowledge. That sentence was later turned to community service.
