PSG loss hasn’t dented confidence, says Shaw

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw says the loss to Paris Saint-Germain has not dented to confidence of the team.

United lost 2-0 at Old Trafford to the Ligue 1 champions in the first leg of their last 16 tie in the Champions League but Shaw looks at the defeat in a positive manner.

Speaking with MUTV ahead of Monday’s FA Cup clash with Chelsea he said:

“Look. we can’t take one loss as a massive dent to us. It’s just a learning curve and we go again.

“Its’s the most confident I’ve felt within the group in a long while, especially before the PSG game, as I felt so confident in the team.”

The former Southampton defender highlighted the cup tie as a chance to get back to winning ways and the challenge the Blues will provide:

“I think this will now be our biggest test,” he said.

“We know what we need to do against Chelsea as we had the game earlier in the season and I felt we played really well and were unlucky not to get the win.

“They’ve been going through a rough patch and will be looking to put things right against us. It’s such a big game for them to do that but we’re the same.”
