Tottenham Hotspur welcome Leicester City at Wembley on Sunday, in what will be their third consecutive game at the national stadium, as they seek to keep pace with Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side come into this game off the back of late victories over Fulham, Watford and Newcastle and will know anything other than three points may rule them out of a title challenge.

His Tottenham side don’t always enjoy playing on Sunday’s either. Of the five times Spurs have played on a Sunday, they have only won twice and lost the other three including their only fixture at home, a loss to Manchester United last month.

Leicester have played Liverpool and Manchester United in their last two games and having picked up a point at Anfield before narrowly losing to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side last weekend at the King Power, they come into this with the confidence they can push top-six opponents all the way.

Team News:

Spurs continue to be without Ben Davies, Harry Kane and Dele Alli with the latter two now back in training whilst Eric Dier is also out with a virus.

Leicester could give a debut to Youri Tielemans who signed for the club on loan whilst Marc Albrighton is absent from the squad as is Daniel Amartey.

The Managers:

Maurcio Pochettino speaking about his team’s chances in the title race ahead of his side’s game against Leicester.

“We are there in third. Sunday will be key – to win the three points will be tough though. They are a good team with a good manager and for us it is key to win the three points to be involved until the end.

“That’s our objective to be realistic contender and have the possibility in the last five games to be there and make it possible.”

Claude Puel speaks of the quality of Sunday’s opponents ahead of his side’s game against Tottenham.

“Tottenham have a fantastic squad with a lot of options. I don’t know if we can arrive at this level but of course we want to continue to develop our players like other big teams.”
