San Jose Earthquakes forward Chris Wondolowski was added to the United States Men’s National Team’s roster by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann on Tuesday in preparation for upcoming friendlies against Ecuador and Honduras.

The USMNT will face Ecuador on Friday, Oct. 10 in East Hartford, Conn. (4 p.m. PT / ESPN, WatchESPN) and Honduras on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Fla. (5 p.m. PT / ESPN, WatchESPN, UniMas).

Wondolowski, 31, has 9 goals in 23 caps with the U.S. He earned 2 caps during the 2014 World Cup, entering as a substitute against Portugal at Arena Amazonia in Manaus on June 22 and against Belgium in the Round of 16 at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador on July 1. In the summer of 2013, Wondolowski took home a share of the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup Golden Boot after tying USA teammate Landon Donovan and Panama’s Gabriel Torres with 5 goals during the month-long tournament.

Since returning from the World Cup, Wondolowski has 9 goals and 4assists in 15 MLS games, tallying a goal or an assist in 10 of those 15 games. He led the league in goals in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and was named Volkswagen MLS Most Valuable Player in 2012 after tying the MLS record for goals in a single-season with 27.
