Welsh starlet Daniel James has withdrawn from his nation’s training camp following the sudden death of his father.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old had been named in the group due to train in Portugal, but is now understood to have not travelled.<\/p>\n

James’ club, Swansea City, released a statement expressing their condolences on Thursday:<\/p>\n

“Everyone at Swansea City has been saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Daniel James’ father.<\/p>\n

“Everyone at the football club send their condolences and our thoughts are with Daniel and his family at this sad time.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

James has been twice capped for Wales, who will travel to Croatia and Hungary for back-to-back Euro 2020 qualifiers next month.<\/p>\n

The winger, reportedly the subject of a \u00a315 million bid from Manchester United, registered five goals and 10 assists in 38 appearances this season.<\/p>\n
