Seattle opened the second half on the front foot, immediately looking to push forward and apply pressure in New England’s midfield.

Despite Seattle’s early pressure, it was New England that created the first scoring opportunity of the half. In the 48th minute, Peyton Miller tested Andrew Thomas with a right-footed effort that the Seattle goalkeeper comfortably collected.

Just two minutes later, Will Sands created another opportunity for the Revolution, but his shot was deflected behind for a corner kick.

Entering the 15th minute, Seattle took the lead.

Luca Langoni was initially dispossessed before recovering possession, only to be fouled in the ensuing challenge. The loose ball fell to Hassani Dotson, who capitalized on the opportunity and fired a shot into the bottom-right corner to give Seattle a 1-0 advantage. The play was subsequently reviewed by VAR for a potential foul in the buildup, but the goal ultimately stood.

In the 17th minute, tensions flared after Seattle midfielder Cristian Roldan committed a hard foul on Revolution captain Carles Gil. Luca Langoni quickly came to his teammate’s defense, confronting Roldan in the aftermath of the challenge. Both players were subsequently issued yellow cards, with Roldan cautioned for the initial foul and Langoni for his reaction.

In the 24th minute, Revolution defender Will Sands was issued a yellow card following a collision with Alex Roldan inside Seattle’s penalty area.
