New England Revolution have signed K.V.C. Westerlo midfielder Griffin Yow

FOXBOROUGH, MA– The New England Revolution have signed United States midfielder Griffin Yow from Belgium Pro League side K.V.C. Westerlo.

He will occupy a supplemental roster slot.

Griffin Yow is a 23-year-old, 5’9, 135lb midfielder from Clifton, Virginia.

At the club level, Yow has played 140 career games (7,619 minutes) across the United States & Belgium. A product of the D.C. United’s Academy (2017-19), in 2019, he began his professional career by signing with D.C. United (2019-22) as a homegrown player. During his time at D.C. United, he also played with the club’s USL Championship affiliate, Loudoun United FC (2019-2022). In 2022, he was sold to K.V.C. Westerlo (2022 – present). New England will be considered his fourth professional team.

In total club career numbers, the midfielder has contributed 24 career goals, 11 assists, along with 9 yellow cards and 0 red cards.

Internationally, Yow has 19 appearances (1,140 minutes) for the United States Youth National Team across the U17s, U23s, & 2024 U.S. Olympic Team.

In total international career numbers, the midfielder has contributed 7 career goals, 5 assists, along with 0 yellow cards and 0 red cards.

According to Seth Macomber of The Blazing Musket, he initially reported that the New England Revolution were interested in & were in advanced discussions to sign the 23-year-old midfielder.

The young midfielder had also attracted interest from Cypriot first division side Pafos FC & Belgium Pro League side K.A.A Gent according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

Yow, 23, signed officially with New England on January 20th. He now re-unites with New England Revolution head coach Marko Mitrović, who coached Yow at the 2024 Olympics. During the tournament, Yow appeared in all four matches, collecting one assist.
