Carles Gil named to MLS Team of the Matchday 11

FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution midfielder Carles Gil has made the MLS Team of the Matchday 11 following Saturday night’s 2-0 victory over Toronto FC.

This is Carles Gil’s fourth appearance in MLS Team of the Week this season. He previously featured in Matchday 6, Matchday 8, & Matchday 10.

Carles Gil obtained a position in the MLS Team of the Matchday 11 for his eye-catching performance on Saturday afternoon. Gil, who played 88 minutes finished the match with an 8.6 rating according to Fotmob. Offensively, Carles had 1 goal on 4 shot attempts (50% shot accuracy). Gil had 80 touches and 9 passes into the final third. The midfielder went 45/55 (82%) on accurate passes throughout the match with 5/7 accuracy on long balls (71%) and 1/3 (33%) on accurate crosses. He went 5/5 (100%) on successful dribbles and was dispossessed 2 times during the match with 2 chances created. He also took 3 corners during the match.
