FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution have traded midfielder Noel Buck to San Jose Earthquakes in a cash trade

The move will open a senior roster slot.

Noel Buck is a 22-year-old, 5’11, 160lb midfielder from Arlington, Massachusetts

At the club level, Buck has played 109 career games (6,919 minutes) across the United States & England. Buck, a member of the Revolution Academy, rose through the Revolution Player Pathway Program and started his professional career with New England Revolution II (2021-22). In 2022, Buck signed for the New England Revolution (2022-25) first team where he spent part of his tenure on loan at English Football League Championship side Southampton FC (2024-25). He now joins MLS side San Jose Earthquakes.

Internationally, Buck represented England & United States at the youth levels and then filed a one-time switch to represent England full-time. He has made 10 appearances for the England Youth National Teams.

In total career numbers, the midfielder has contributed 11 career goals, 3 assists, along with 11 yellow cards and 0 red cards.

Late Saturday night, following New England’s 2-0 victory over New York City FC, Tom Bogert of GiveMeSport had reported that midfielder Noel Buck was traded to San Jose Earthquakes in a cash-value trade.

My sources confirmed the deal moments after the news had broken.

Buck, 22, departs New England after three seasons.

He is now the 6th player to join the San Jose Earthquakes from New England this offseason. (joining Earl Edwards Jr, Ian Harkes, Dave Romney, Mark-Anthony Kaye, Nick Lima)

In his 47 senior appearances for the club, he registered 5 goals, 2 assists, 5 yellow cards & 0 red cards.

This trade opens a senior roster slot for the New England Revolution.

The New England Revolution (3-1-4, 10 pts.) are on the road to face off against Eastern Conference side Charlotte FC (6-1-2, 19 pts). The match is set to kickoff at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, April 26th at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
