Free Agent Jackson Yueill joins New England Revolution

FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution have signed veteran free agent midfielder Jackson Yueill.

Yueill will occupy a senior roster slot.

Jackson William Yueill is a 27-year-old, 5’10, 168lb defensive midfielder from Saint Paul, Minnesota.

At the club level, Yueill has played 239 career games (19,539 minutes) across the United States. He was drafted 6th overall in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft and has spent his entire playing career has been with Major League Soccer side San Jose Earthquakes (2017-2024). He was sent on loan one time during his career to Reno 1868 (2017-18) of the USL Championship.

He served as captain of the San Jose Earthquakes from 2021 until his departure in 2024.

Internationally, Yueill has 16 senior appearances (951 minutes) for the United States Men’s National Team. He has registered 1 assist.

In total career numbers, the defensive midfielder has contributed 15 career goals, 16 assists, along with 24 yellow cards and 2 red cards.

“We are pleased to add a proven player of Jackson’s caliber to our midfield before the start of preseason,” Revolution Sporting Director Curt Onalfo said. “As a longtime captain with San Jose, his MLS experience and leadership qualities speak for themselves. Jackson has been a consistent central midfielder in our league, and we look forward to having him in New England for the next several years.”

“Jackson Yueill is a talented player who is in the prime of his career, but is also hungry to achieve more,” Revolution Head Coach Caleb Porter added. “Jackson has a high-level football IQ and will bring the ability to dictate the rhythm and tempo of a match. Jackson’s leadership, professionalism and overall durability are also important intangibles that will add value to our day-to-day culture. We are extremely pleased he wanted to join the New England Revolution, and we look forward to his impact.”

The club announced that Yueill has been signed through the 2027 season with a club option for the 2028 & 2029 campaigns.

His current salary is unknown; however, sources have indicated that the club has used General Allocation Money to buy him down from a TAM level contract.
